Every year in December, Miami beach becomes the scene of many cultural events, this is called the " Miami Beach Art Basel »

But the most important of these events for me is the Miami Design Fair.

And this year France was in the spotlight with this modernist and compact house, designed in 1934 by the architect and designer Charlotte PERRIAND. Unfortunately, it was never built.

Thanks to the French fashion house Louis Vuitton and with the authorization of the heirs of Charlotte Perriand,  The House by the Water, which took 2nd place in an architectural competition in 1934, was meticulously built on the beaches of South Beach in Miami.

This beach house expresses Charlotte PERRIAND's desire to showcase small spaces, smart storage and foldable furniture. And we can only see the extremely modern look of this young woman for the time (1934)

“No one was interested in building this house,” says Charlotte Perriand's daughter.

Today 80 years later, it's done.
