MYGREENMAG, the first international ecodesign magazine was launched by the Pôle Eco Conception in Saint-Etienne. It is distributed in 8 paper copies, and will soon be downloadable from the Pôle's website. The magazine wants to develop information on ecodesign, by addressing regulatory, technical and business cases.
Issue 2 is expected to be released at the end of September 2013.
A practical format, a sober layout, reasonable pagination, easy-to-discover content to explore the main trends in eco-design at the global level: the first issue of MYGREENMAG, translated in its sober form are objective, to be an information tool on ecodesign throughout the world.
After ten years of activity, the Eco-design and Life Cycle Management Pole launched at the start of 2013 MYGREENMAG, an international magazine on eco-design and eco-innovation, in French and English versions. The French texts are fully translated into English, which should allow the magazine to really reach an English-speaking or simply international audience. The Ecodesign Pole already has very strong links in Canada, in particular in Quebec, South America and Belgium. The magazine should help the Pole, recognized as one of the locomotives of ecodesign in France, to develop its network of partners in Germany, Northern Europe and Switzerland.
Ecodesign at maturity
For Christian BRODHAG, President of the Pole Eco Conception and Life Cycle Management, eco-design is no longer just a way for companies to differentiate themselves. "Eco-design is now an approach that all companies must and can take, to reduce their costs, improve their ability to reach markets in full mutation. The eco-design approach is not the prerogative of large companies but is aimed at small and medium-sized companies."
The first issue of MYGREEENMAG presents many examples of companies engaged in eco-design in the most diverse sectors: IT services, shipbuilding, manufacture of skis, snowboards, chemicals.
MYGREENMAG is an illustration of the successes of eco-design and an invitation to undertake a process for the eco-design of products and services.
The first issue provides an update on the Eco-design Pole of Poitou Charente and an interview with Michael Bennet, an eco-design specialist, who answers questions from Samuel Mayer, Director of the Pole, on eco-design in the 'European Union.
Each issue will discuss the strengths and trends in regulatory and research fields on eco-design and related approaches such as eco-innovation or eco-socio-design. Each issue will give a voice to a major player in ecodesign, take stock of ecodesign in a country, and address regulatory issues.
