A great initiative that comes to us from Pekin: using plastic bottles to pay for metro tickets. A great way to collect these bottles in order to recycle them, and thus limit the risk of finding them in nature.
The principle is very simple: machines are made available to passengers who have their transport card credited as they deposit plastic bottles. It takes about twenty seconds for the machine to compact the bottle and to transfer the sum to the transport card.
Note that you still need 20 bottles to pay for a ticket.
It is the company INCOM which is at the origin of this initiative. This company specializing in waste recycling aims to install 3 devices throughout the city of Pekin. She wants to recycle other materials using the same method: metal cans, etc.
