The objective for the company Green Furniture Sweden is to identify and reward the most beautiful sustainable design projects. Fundamental eco-design criteria are taken into account: choice and supply of materials, production method, dismantling and recycling, social responsibility, etc. And above all to highlight products that will last beyond current trends, products that will be the icons of tomorrow.
Here are the finalists for this 2014 edition:
"Hard Leather Chair"
Danish designer Nikolaj Steenfatt designed this chair using an ancient technique to harden leather, in a 100% natural way.
According to Nikolaj, a good design should meet our aesthetic expectations without compromising functionality.
A great success in ecological design that we hope to see soon in our interiors ...
“Sleep Tight”, an eco-design cradle
A simply poetic conception in the world of sleep. This designer cradle is made from naturally pressed cork. One way to preserve forests is to use cork in new applications.
The co designers, Sofia Chinita and Karin Pereira, are independent designers but combine their know-how for a few projects, to our greatest happiness.
A natural design from Portugal.
"Linen Tables"
These tables are simply finished in linoleum, which is called Lino. Lino is a sustainable alternative to the many dangerous chemicals that are sometimes used, so we get a durable surface.
These tables were designed by Leila Atlassi
interior architect and designer living and working in Sweden.
Small conference room "Confession"
Designer: Nick Ross, Scottish, lives and works in Stockholm.

A very nice, intimate meeting space, for 2 people. This type of project will be appreciated in open spaces where it is difficult to find calm for a client meeting.
