An absolutely designer bathtub

Hello everybody

Today, I would like to tell you about a brand that I discovered during my last trip to England.

The SplinterWork Company, it was formed in 2009, resulting from the collaboration between Miles Hartwell and Matt Withington. Their mission is to create sculptural furniture that is engaging and inspiring.

Splinter Works design studio created Vessel, a bathtub made of carbon fiber, which hangs like a hammock.

Struck by the synergy between the shapes of the two compelling symbols of relaxation, a hammock and a bathtub, the designers of SPLINDERWORK, were inspired to develop a piece that would offer the ultimate vehicle for total escape.

By literally elevating the bathing experience in a suspended sculpture, the bathroom has been reinvented as a sanctuary for artistic contemplative relaxation.
